COUNTDOWN TO 5th FEBRUARY - INITIAL STRIKE!
With three weeks to go til the initial release, there's a hive of activity as Djevara prepares for the release of album number two. Here's the main news from the frontline:-
- Positive reviews have been coming in very nicely indeed, right from respected underground zines such as Organ and Subba Cultcha ("Album Of The Week"), up to the well-known rock magazines such as Kerrang! (KKKK) and Metal Hammer ("An exciting album of blazing, streetwise British promise." - 7/10), and even foreign media ("fucking good stuff"- Fomp Denmark). [see REVIEWS section of forum for more... let us know if you see any other reviews we've missed!]
- records are available for pre-order both from the website (www.djevara.co.uk) shop or the label (www.genin.co.uk) shop, or from numerous online sites. You can also hassle your local record store to make sure they're gonna have copies when it comes out. HMV have selected the album as "recommended tip" and is available for pre-order from their online website at a remarkably cheap price (www.hmv.co.uk).

- As a special promotion to help our old friends at Oxfam in Wood Green, there'll be a special display/consignment there when the album comes out. £5 from every copy of the record purchased there will be donated by the store (this is in addition to the money we already pledge)
- Record will be available for international order from CDBaby
- Djevara will be playing a *few* shows in Feb and March (still booking atow, watch website for confirmations) following the initial release. The album will be re-released in April (date tbc) to coincide with our main promotion including a bustling UK tour in May and tentative plans for a limited single and video release if all goes well! Whoop!
- If anyone would like to help us promote the record we've got flyers and promotional material and other goodies that we'd appreciate the help with distributing anywhere you think would be appropriate - rock clubs, shops, festivals, fanzines, whatever... just get in touch and we'll hook you up
- If you like Djevara's music please support us by buying a copy of the record - since this is completely DIY we rely on your support to make it work; we've put all our effort in and I've certainly put almost all of my money into it, and hopefully its as true and honest a record as you're likely to hear in 2007... and it rocks.
Cheerz,
Djev'
