REVIEWS, INTERVIEWS etc
Obviously with the new record there's a bit more Djev' press turning up than usual. You can check out an interview with Subba Cultcha (who awarded us "Album Of The Week") here:-

and their album review is here:

Kerrang! recently featured an album for "DJEVERA", with exactly the same artwork and song-titles and even band-members as our own, so we're claiming it as our own. It goes something like:-
"Third World War / CTFS" (Album 2) : Kerrang!
25 November 2006
"APOPLECTIC LONDON QUARTET POINT THE FINGER...
You can only salute the tenacity of Djevera*. This second album is released through their own label and they're involved in various righteous political campaigns and DIY promotions. And as a black-fronted metal band, they're still a rarity. Their music is strong too, melding At The Drive-In/Fugazi-inspired anger with good old hyper-metal riffage. Songs like "The Consumer" and "600 Years Of Your Civilization And My People Still Live In Poverty" are so eyeball-poppingly angry you can't help but be swept along. It's a combination that shows the underground has a big beating heart."

Peeps have said they've had problems finding the other reviews, so here are the ones we've had in so far, more are coming in all the time...

"Third World War / CTFS" : QUENCH (Cardiff Uni)
27th November 2006
Four-piece outfit Djevara hail from London with ..Third World War: Cast The First Stone.., the follow up to their 2004 debut album ..God is White...
Huge grunge guitar sounds mingle with funky bass riffs and clean melodic refrains to form an electrifying body of work. Ultra-tight machine-gun drumming lies at the heart of Djevara..s fierce engine and front man Bass consistently nails his slogans with ruthless honesty, his voice riding wave after a wave of monstrous riff work for a well rounded, explosive experience.
From ..The Death of Cliff Richard.., an all-destroying head-banging monster whose carrying hook ..throw your worries away!.. rings in the head long past the song..s epic finish, to strangely quiet conclusion ..Chapter Two.., ..Third World War.. is a smoking, visceral album that warrants serious attention from anybody who likes it loud.
The album is released on November 27th with the UK leg of Djevara..s European tour kicking off soon afterwards.
Score: 9/10

Bands like this make my job fun. The danger of bands of one set genre constantly making new releases though means you suffer repetition as much as said bands do. But even when a band diverges but remains interesting, well it doesn't help me, but crikey, its still fun. Djevara's second album sees the band introducing outside influences to their political punk rock, but still a four piece rock band with no outside instruments makes for one different punk record. As inspiring as the band's message and dedication for a better world and fighting the industry be it capitalist or musical, the cynical aspect to our (or their) 24/7 rat race is kept to themselves in exchange for rocking out with brains for once. The guitars roar, scream and rant as much as vocalist Bass does, its punk meets metal meets grunge and more, the songs not over in a bargain-bucket punk 3 minutes or half hour over all, each song breathing but still relentless like his whippet tongue, and cleverly entwined with each other making for an easy flow that dazzles. I thought it'd be a grower. Nope, they cracked it first spin. Stay underground.

(Featured album)
"Blustery, urgent, high pitched, angry Ragecore flavoured D.I.Y crossover agit-metal from London town. A kind of positive chip on the shoulder from the gut/heart Dub War thing, raging against the machine indeed"
Keep your eyes peeled for news on more radio and other stuff soon...
